PCGS 1893-O Liberty eagle ten dollar broadstruck. The coin was struck almost entirely out of collar, and expanded well beyond it's normal size. The coin's reeding is missing from about 95% of the coin's edge.
Broadstruck $10 Liberties are very rare, with only 4 known to us. This is a New Orleans Mint issue as well, and is unique in that regard, being the only broadstruck New Orleans $10 known. Also, all the other examples we know of are from the 1900's, whereas this coin is from the 1800s.
A rare opportunity to own a major striking error on a $10 gold Liberty.
AU58 with a hint of wear and lustrous surfaces.
