PCGS 50c (1916-1947) Walking Half Struck on 25c Planchet MS63 

Major wrong planchet error walking half struck on a Washington or Standing Liberty quarter planchet. The coin is the size and metal of a quarter, but was struck with half dollar dies.

It is a rare off-metal type, with just around 15 examples known. A series with very few major mint errors existing. It’s pedigree is ex-Fred Weinberg Collection. 

MS63 This example has lustrous mostly white surfaces, and has good eye-appeal.
