NGC 1864 no L Indian Cent. This piece is struck with the no L cent dies, and struck on a copper/tin or perhaps just a copper alloy planchet. Some of these are struck on very thick planchets, and are attributed as Judd-356b, while this variety is the Judd-356a, which is normal-thin in weight, and is mostly copper. An interesting pattern made during the change in 1864 from copper-nickel planchets to bronze planchets, and also from the thick to the thin planchet types.
Rare with an estimated 12-18 known.
