NGC 1947 wheat cent off-metal struck on a silver dime planchet. The coin is silver, and is smaller than a normal cent. It is missing parts of the lettering near the rim, and some of the fields. Also, it weighs only 2.5 grams, instead of the normal weight of 3.1 grams.
A very rare date for cents on silver dime planchets, with the era 1946-1949 being extremely rare for cents on dimes. Amazingly, this example is also mintstate, with original, multi-colored brown toning.
MS62 with multi-colored brown toning.
