This is a 1963 Lincoln cent which is struck on a Philippine 10 centavo planchet. The coin is a golden/steel color, with a slightly weak strike caused from the planchet being very much underweight at 2.0 grams (a Lincoln cent's planchet weighs 3.1 grams.) We were striking coins for the Philippines for many years including 1963, and this error occurred when a 10 centavo planchet was fed into a press striking Lincoln cents. A scarce off-metal.
NGC AU-58 with a hint of wear. Otherwise lustrous and problem-free.
