NGC 1c 1964 Lincoln Cent Obverse Die Cap & Struck Through Reverse UNC

The coin has a shallow obverse die cap, with slightly cupped walls surrounding the obverse design. There is a blurry image of the memorial building and lettering on the coin's reverse, which is unusual for a die cap. Probably the coin was struck through a split planchet, which resulted in a faint strike on the reverse, and which also helped cause this coin to "stick" to the obverse die and become a die cap. The first die cap like this that we've seen.

NGC UNC Details with a short scratch on the reverse. Not much of a problem at all in our opinion due to it's placement and size.
