This is a copper Lincoln Memorial cent which is struck on a bow-tie shaped piece of web-scrap, with a beautiful curve between the ends, and flat on other edge (which is where the edge of the planchet strip was.) The web-scrap comes from the web-strip, which is shredded into small pieces (like what this coin is struck on) before being later melted down. Very scarce.
