No-Date Kennedy half dollar struck 50% off-center on a clad Washington quarter blank. This is a rare error combination, and very few are known. This example shows the tops of Kennedy's profile, and much of the reverse design, but at the same time it shows a lot of quarter planchet giving a good balance between planchet and design. Judging from the design, the coin is from the 1960's. A desirable and beautiful example of this rare error combination.
The error occurred when a clad quarter blank was fed into a press striking Kennedy half dollars, but was not fed in properly and was struck off-center. It managed to escape the mint's screening processes, and into the hands of collectors.
NGC MS-64 with gray/golden toning and no problems.
