This is an off-metal nickel on cent planchet, with the coin being struck on a wheat cent planchet and weighing 3.1 grams. There are also a lamination error on the bottom of Jefferson's coat. The error occurred when a cent planchet was fed into a press striking nickels and was struck. A scarce date and mint for nickels on cents.
