NGC 1977-S proof Jefferson nickel struck on a copper cent planchet, and with 180 degree rotated dies. The coin is copper, and is truck on a 3.1 gram cent planchet. Also, the coin is struck with a 180 degree "medallic" alignment of the dies, adding to the coin's appeal.
Rare as a proof nickel on a cent planchet, with approximately 10-12 known for all dates of Jefferson nickels.
PF65 with pleasing red-brown toning on the obverse and reverse, which gives the coin an almost dark rose color.
