This 2003-D dime is a 2-coin bonded pair, and is also a deep obverse die cap. The two planchets fused together due to being struck into each other multiple times. Bonded errors are one of the most dramatic of all the error types, but are also rare. Dime bonded coins are very rare, and there are far fewer than there are cent bonded coins.
PCGS MS-65 Note: there are scuffs on the holder which are not on the coin, particularly on the upper top part of the obverse.
