PCGS 1c 1928 Lincoln Cent on Silver Dime Planchet XF-45

Off-metal 1928 Lincoln cent struck on a silver dime planchet. The coin is silver, and is slightly smaller than a normal Lincoln cent, being on a lighter weight and smaller diameter planchet than a cent's. Lincoln cents on dime planchets are usually very rare prior to 1956, and 1928 is no exception. Although there are perhaps several examples known of this date, this is the finest example we know of.

PCGS XF-45 with luster remaining and a nice contrast of toning behind the design.
