PCGS 25c 1943-S Washington Quarter Struck 35% Off-Center MS63

PCGS 25c 1943-S Washington quarter struck 35% off-center. Pre-1964 Washington quarter off-centers are extremely rare, and few are known--for many years none are known at all. This coin is very tough, and is likely unique or close to unique for the date and mintmark.

The coin is in a remarkably high grade as an MS63, with lustrous surfaces  and just hint of toning. There are some minor scratches on primarily the unstruck planchet on the reverse, but they are not very noticeable, and are common on older series like this, when a coin was likely to get stuck in a piece of equipment before exiting the Mint.
