2000-P Maryland state quarter wrong planchet error struck on a Jefferson nickel planchet. The coin is smaller than a normal quarter and is the metal and weight of a nickel. Although an average rarity, it is still very rare with perhaps 5-10 known. What makes the coin particularly special is the MS-68 grade, and it is the finest known example.
PCGS MS-68 with immaculate, lustrous surfaces.
