Wrong planchet error Franklin half dollar struck on a silver quarter planchet. The coin is smaller than a normal half, and is struck on a silver quarter planchet intended for striking into a quarter. Franklin halves on quarters are very scarce, and this is a more affordable example since it's a "common date" (they're all rare) and is a lower mint state grade. Nice looking coin overall, and the planchet is centered in a nice position in relation to the design.
PCGS MS-62 with blazing luster.
